Creatively Speaking

You may or may not know that I have a creative streak. I'm not particularly talented, but I do find it fun and relaxing. I used to bead jewelry (and have oh so many beading supplies) and still wear many of the things that I made. I've done some metal work, mosaics and glass fusing at local pottery places. I've also done some needlepoint and made this floral pillow you see below. It only took me 17 years!!

My friend Jill tried to teach me to knit, as I had visions of knitting colorful hand knit wool sweaters. But, I don't think I have the patience for it, and plus, there's MATH involved. Yuk! More recently she and I have been playing with clay. I made these 2 clay bowls. They are made from scraps of clay "canes".

We have also made some jewelry. It always comes back to jewelry...

We have no idea whatsoever what we're doing, but having so much fun doing it! Stay tuned for the matching earrings!!

Things heard (by me, from Steve) at a recent baseball game:

That guy can hit, look at his stats!
That pitcher has a really small strike zone
His ERA is under 2!

I feel bad for Steve because I have no idea what he's talking about most of the time. Plus, MATH (duh)! I'm really just at the game for the cotton candy...

But I did make it onto the Jumbotron recently! Here I am, acting like a fool for the Dance Cam!

Raphael Update:

The spoiling continues. He just lays on the couch and I don't even bother to try to get him off, unless of course I've snapped a picture of him first!

We hate leaving him home alone, and try hard not to, but sometimes it's unavoidable.

This month on The SH*T That Happens to Me Podcast:

The podcast is now being released on Thursdays, and I've added a new Intro and Outro! Let me know what you think!

Episode 71 (7/14/22) A Life on the Farm with filmmaker Oscar Harding to talk about what it was like to create his quirky, award-winning documentary during COVID!

Episode 72 (7/28/22) High Praise with husband Steve, so he can set the record straight on all of the projects he completes around the house!

That's all for now! Take care, and DON'T BE A CRUMB!
